Spermatic veins ligature Varicocele refers to dilatation of the veins of the pampiniform plexus around the testicle. It is more frequent on the left side but can also occur bilaterally.
Usually it is asymptomatic, but may be the cause of infertility if left unattended over time. When the sperm count shows signs of deficiency ( ow sperm count), ligature of the spermatic veins is indicated.
This operation can be performed in laparoscopy with minimal trauma and a very short hospitalization time.
Average surgical time 30’.
